ANIMA announces that its DUNE collection has been selected by the ADI Design Index 2018!
Our award-winning DUNE collection has been selected among the excellences of Italian design.
The collection designed by Paolo D’Arrigo will officially compete for the next Compasso d’Oro Award.
The DUNE collection has been selected by the ADI Design Permanent Observatory for publication on the ADI Design Index 2018, the first volume of the biennial cycle that collects Italian excellence in design production, pre-selected to compete for the prestigious Compasso d’Oro Award 2020.
The ADI Design Index includes every year the best products that stand out for their originality, innovation, materials used, respect for the environment, usability and interaction.
The DUNE console is the concrete representation of a concept which takes contemporary design and re-invents it without having to forego the authenticity and coherence which is a part of its Italian nature. It is an enormously attractive console that stuns with its fluid form and its almost feline softness in shape is matched by its feel which incites you to reach out and caress its undulating curves and explore the passage from its natural solid teak, one of the traditionally-used materials, to Teknostone, a solid surface which has been developed through advanced innovation.
The wavy surface of the washbasin top naturally forms spaces for the bowl and soap dish, thanks to highly-advanced production process technology, and etches out solids and vacuums to create space that welcomes you and overwhelms with its pure sense of pleasure. The console is the jewel in the crown and a co-ordinated part of the Dune collection, comprising tops, consoles, open bathroom cupboards, radiators, mirrors and tapware.
“The inclusion of DUNE in the ADI Design Index 2018, after the conferment of the German Design Award 2018 and the European Product Design Award 2018, represents a further prestigious recognition of our proposals quality, and define DUNE collection as one of the most awarded products in 2018.” – declares Paolo D’Arrigo, designer and ANIMA creative director.
This umpteenth, prestigious recognition, launches ANIMA into the select club of the leaders in the international design panorama, a well-respected position and something that is a special source of satisfaction for us, besides being a confirmation that we are going in the right direction: design of collections where nature and culture breathe the same air and fuse into designs for the body that come from the soul.
